16.03.2016 Bucuresti – Ruse –  Veliko Tarnovo – 180 km

Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Ruse/Giurgiu. Drop off in Ruse and exchange of the vehicles.  Sightseeing of Ruse. Lunch in Ruse in restaurant Hushove by menu:

17.03.2016 Veliko Tarnovo – Sofia – 230 km

Breakfast in the hotel and after that short city tour of Veliko Tarnovo – the old capital of Bulgaria. During the tour you will see the old town and visit the Tzarevetz castle (entrance fee included). It served as the Second Bulgarian Empire’s primary fortress and stronges bulwark from 1185 to 1393, housing the royal and the patriarchal palaces and after that travelling to Sofia. Late lunch in Sofia (Korean restaurant Yun by menu:

Before transfer to the airport short city tour of Sofia. During this tour you will be able to see some of the most interesting buildings and places in the capital of Bulgaria like The Cathedral “Aleksandar Nevski”- the biggest cathedral in Bulgaria and one of the largest Eastern Orthodox cathedrals in the world, built in Neo-Byzantine style. Entrance fee for the crypt included. The tour continues to the square “Narodno Sabranie” where you will see the building of the National assembly of Bulgaria and the Monument of the Tsar Liberator, erected in honour of the Russian Emperator Alexander II who liberated Bulgaria of Ottoman rule during the Russo-Turkish War 1877-1878. Next highlights of the tour are the Russian church and the National Art Gallery (The old Tzar’s Palace). After that you will walk through the Aleksander Batemberg square to the Archeological museum and the building of the President Institution and this of the Council of the Ministers. Next will be the Sveta Nedelya Church as well as the Mosque nearby and go back to the National Theatre Ivan Vazov. Departure at 21.15 to Istanbul.
